3 Way To Keep on Track When You are Out

Recently, we talked about how alcohol can be sabotaging your diet. 

Just to recap, alcohol can lead to weight gain, changes in sleep, and declined gym performance.

So you’re thinking of reducing your alcohol consumption to meet your weight loss goals, but…social situations. Our peers can be our biggest supporters, or, our biggest nemesis.

Is Alcohol Sabotaging Your Diet?

Here are three ways to help out when faced with that scenario:


Adding seltzer water to your wine or mixed drink is a great way to quickly and easily cut calories.

Have a “no thanks” response ready

“I don’t drink,” “I have an early day tomorrow,” or the best one, “I’m driving.” While having these responses ready is helpful, remember you don’t owe anyone an explanation as to why you are not drinking.

Get social support

Finding a buddy to stick to your goals with is always super helpful.
