Workouts When You’re Traveling

At First Capital Gym, we have a lot of members that are constantly on the go. They’re traveling for work for sometimes 1-2 weeks at a time.

If you’re someone who likes to stay in shape, that could be a problem. If you’re a member at First Capital Gym, within 1-2 months, you would be proficient enough with the kettlebell to be able to do swings or simple complexes.

But let’s say you don’t know any kettlebell skills and you’re about to travel. Here’s some things we recommend:

•Find a hotel that has an “all right” gym. No, it may not be the best but at least it’s something.
•Find a gym close to your hotel.
•When you find the gym you’re going to, tell your coach what all they have. From there, they should be able to write you up something for the time you’re gone.

When we have members that go on vacation or travel for work, we ask them what hotel they’re going to. If there is a good gym in the area, we’ll tell them to go there.

From there, we’ll design something based on the logistics and equipment at that gym. Again, it may not be the best scenario, but it’s a great way to keep in shape and not lose too much of what they gained.
