Consistency is a word you here constantly at First Capital Gym. Whether your goal is weight loss, fat loss, living healthier, or getting stronger, consistency is a must. Lets’ take a look at a weight loss goal of 20 pounds. For this to happen, better food choices and a decrease in calorie intake is a must. You would also want to make sure you’re getting your training sessions in and getting plenty of sleep.
Consistency in the three things mentioned above is going to get you to your goals. The problem comes when people aren’t consistent. They’ll eat good for a week and then go back to the old habits. They’ll go in a “tour de force” mode and workout hard for three weeks and take two weeks off. After a couple of months of this, the person usually will quit because of not seeing results. If they would’ve just been consistent, changes would’ve happened.
A good example of staying consistent is with one of our members, Lali. Even with a busy work schedule, she is consistent with her food choices and hits 3 training sessions per week. In a small amount of time, she has lost lots of weight, got stronger, and more importantly, healthier. There was no magic diet or a 6 week shred. It was consistency.
