Ingredients:
2lbs. Ground Bison (80-90% lean)
Diced Jalopenos
1/2 cup real turkey bacon bits
4 slices of American Cheese, folded into quarters
2 Tbsp Ghee
Directions:
Combine burger, jalapenos (a little or a lot, its up to you!), and turkey bacon bits. I also tossed in a little Smoky Montreal Steak Seasoning as well. Divide burger into 8 sections. Divide each one of those sections in to two. Roll each section into a ball. Using a burger press (or your hands) press one of the balls flat. Place two of the cheese quarters on the center of the burger.
Place second half of patty ball on top and use burger press to flatten. Repeat with remaining burger. Heat a tablespoon of ghee over medium-low heat.
Fry 4 burgers at a time, about 5 or so minutes on each side. Do the same with the remaining 4 burgers.
I topped mine with a little organic avocado salsa I picked up at my local wholesale club. Also good served over bib lettuce and topped with a few banana peppers. Enjoy!!!
