How’s Your Mindset?

In the last week, we talked about MAKING SPECIFIC GOALS, HAVING A PLAN OF ATTACK, LIFESTYLE, COMPARING YOURSELF TO OTHERS, AND THE TOUR DE FORCE MODE.

The final topic we’ll look at is mindset, which I believe is the most important one of them all. If your mindset is not ready for the changes and challenges ahead, you’ll need to work on this first.

Before starting your health & fitness journey, you’ll need to realize there will be MANY UPS & DOWNS. This is not a linear process. You need to expect the “unexpected” to happen.

With the cold weather coming up, there will be snow days.

Your kids will be off of school.

You and your family will get sick at some point.


People will quit at work and you’ll need to pick up the hours.

You’ll need to take your kids practice.

You’ll more than likely fall off and miss workouts

You’ll mess up on your nutrition.

The difference with the people who will prevail and those who don’t will be how you respond to these problems. Are you just going to give up or are you going to push through?

The health & fitness game all comes to your mindset and being able to push through when things don’t go your way.

There you have it, we covered 6 reasons why most will fail their goals this year and what to do to prevent it.

Do yourself a favor and write down your goals for the upcoming year and come up with a real plan.
